Purpose:
Axiom Equipment group is a thriving, structured company that upholds high standards at all times. The purpose of this position is to manage the company’s vendor and business partner contracts along with the purchasing of equipment, capital purchases, supplies and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, manages, and reviews vendor database
- Prepares, reviews, finalizes distributorship contracts and sales agreements from suppliers
- Manages requests for quotations and negotiates pricing with suppliers
- Sources and obtains pricing for account managers on items not regularly purchased
- Generates input, research and recommendations on any modifications to the existing equipment, facility, or infrastructure
- Interprets and relays contract policies and procedures
- Upkeep of Smartsheets and systems
- Ensures all equipment parts are competitively purchased, received, inventoried, and maintained at adequate levels
- Ensures all purchase orders are received on time
- Provides reports on marketplace factors affecting procurement
- Review existing distributorship contracts and sales agreements from suppliers
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to develop, negotiate and monitor contracts
- Skilled in the preparation of specifications, reports and contracts
- Solid technical knowledge in purchasing techniques and best practices
- Knowledge of supplier relations and management, contract law and negotiation
- Experience in planning and communications; leadership in purchasing and purchase evaluations
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal and advisory skills
- Physical ability to meet the position requirements
- Excellent communications skills, both oral and written,
- Financial management skills, including budgeting
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Highly computer literate
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in interpreting, writing and negotiating contractual agreements
- Recognized degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management would be considered an asset
